Quotation – All prices quoted for the purchase of products and/or labour from Cast Iron Radiators LTD are subject to availability and are valid for 30 days of the written quote or email.
Pricing – All prices displayed on the company websites are exclusive of VAT which is charged at the current UK rate of 20%. Prices displayed on the website or by quotation may be changed at any time by us without any prior notice. All goods remain the sole property of Cast Iron Radiators LTD until they are paid for in full.
Ordering - Orders can only be accepted upon receipt of full payment and although the details of an order may be agreed in advance, no work will take place until payment has been received.
Please be aware that an email confirmation of an order does not constitute as an acceptance of the order and Cast Iron Radiators LTD reserve the right to cancel any order prior to delivery.
Additionally, processing of a payment and acknowledgement of an order does not constitute a legally binding contract. Cast Iron Radiators are a 'bespoke' item, this means that all radiators are built specifically to your requirements. Once work has commenced on your order it is non-refundable.
Technical Specifications – All of our radiators are manufactured and finished by hand in our factory at Scarborough, North Yorkshire by our dedicated production team; therefore the total dimensions of the radiators as quoted or specified on the website can vary. All measurements given either in writing or by telephone are given for guidance purposes only. We strongly recommend that no pipe work, first fitting or installation works of any kind be carried out until the radiators have been delivered and checked. Cast Iron Radiators LTD will not be held responsible or liable for any losses or damages incurred due to pipe work fitting done before receipt of the delivery and the radiators being moved to situ.
Substitution or alternate stock – Cast Iron Radiators LTD reserve the right to substitute products with equivalent goods of the same or greater minimal value. Where possible this will be agreed prior to dispatch. All technical specifications are approximate and the purchaser or purchaser’s representatives cannot claim any recourse in the event of reasonable deviations from the specified products.
Radiator Assembly – All radiators are assembled by hand to the specified dimensions, once assembled, the radiators are pressure tested at 8 Bar for 24 hours. Upon passing this test the completed radiator is painted/finished and left to cure for two days. A final visual inspection is carried out to ensure the quality of the finish and then your radiator is wrapped/boxed ready for dispatch. Due to transport and manoeuvrability considerations, we have a maximum assembly size on all of our radiators; this is approximately 120cm in length. Any radiator over this size will be supplied with an assembly tool (requires a refundable deposit) and must be partially assembled on site. We will ensure that all required components are sent along with the order and this will be made clear to the purchaser at the time of ordering. Radiators that are 14 sections and over may include central leg sections, where possible these will be placed in the centre of the radiator, however Cast Iron Radiators reserve the right to change the format of assembly where required.
Radiator Finishes – Radiators can be supplied in a primed condition, however please be aware that primer is not a complete finish. It may have areas of more or less coverage than others and will not act as a complete seal to prevent oxidisation. Additionally, we are unable to make any guarantee on the colour of the primer that will be received. There may be some minor discrepancies in the colour, tone or gloss level of any RAL code used to paint an order. Additionally there may be some slight variation in any stock colours used and representations of colours used on or website are for guidance only and may vary from computer to computer depending on monitor settings. Our polishing finishes are a very labour intensive finish and may extend any quoted lead time. Polished radiators are dispatched coated in a thin layer of oil. In order to maintain the appearance of the polished radiators we recommend applying a thin coat of oil (using a soft, lint free cloth) every 2-3 months to prevent oxidisation. We strongly recommend that damp cloths or towels are not left on a polished radiator as this will cause rust.
Order Summaries & Invoices – It remains the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all invoices and order summaries are checked and any inconsistencies or errors reported to the office in a timely manner. Cast Iron Radiators LTD will not be held liable for any errors in invoices or order summaries that have not been reported prior to dispatch.
Delivery timescales and particulars - Once your radiator is finished we will contact you with a confirmed delivery date and to make the delivery arrangements. Cast Iron Radiators LTD will not be held liable for any costs incurred as a result of any delay in delivery. We can provide you with an indication of the delivery date in advance, this will only be an approximate date based on current workloads. A confirmed date will be provided once your radiators have been assembled and finished. We do aim for delivery to be within 14 days of placing your order but please be aware that this does fluctuate according to demand and stock levels. As cast iron radiators are very heavy objects, we will ship them using a pallet distribution service. Your order will be delivered on a lorry which is usually about the same size as a bin lorry. If you have any access restrictions at your property please notify us in advance as failed deliveries are subject to a redelivery charge. There will be a manually operated pallet truck on-board the delivery lorry, this will enable to driver to get the pallet as close to your property as possible but these can only be used on hard, flat ground such as tarmac. They do not work on lawns or gravel etc. Please ensure that you have arranged for enough people to be available to carry the radiator(s) into your property as the delivery drivers are prohibited from manually handing items or unpacking them into the delivery property. Cast Iron radiators LTD will endeavour to meet all specified delivery requests but will not be held responsible of any failure to meet these either in part or in their entirety. Please ensure that the purchaser or purchaser representative is available on the day of delivery to check the order and sign for the delivery. Any goods damaged in transit must be reported within 7 days or receipt. Cast Iron radiators LTD will not be held liable for any damage to items during transit if not reported within the 7 day period, nor will Cast iron Radiators LTD be held liable for any damage sustained after delivery has taken place. Please be aware that if a delivery is scheduled and agreed and the purchaser is not available (or has not made reasonable alternate arrangements in consultation with Cast iron radiators) we reserve the right to pass on any re-delivery charges to the purchaser. Prices quoted by the websites are representative of addresses in the UK mainland, other areas that fall outside of the standard delivery cost bracket will be charged at an additional rate. This increase in cost will be discussed with the purchaser prior to delivery. If outside of the UK please contact the office to obtain a quote for shipping costs. Cast Iron Radiators LTD reserves the right to hold or cancel an order until delivery costs have been paid in full.
